Has anyone had experience with stem cell therapy for worn down joints?

I'm excited to be a part of this community. I have had a problem with passing out (syncope) and I'm wondering what might be causing it. What specialists typically deal with this and does anyone have a recommendation in the Ann Arbor area? Thank you.

Gregory Gafni-Pappas Syncope can be caused by a number of conditions. The most worrisome is an abnormal rhythm of your heart. Other potential causes could be low blood pressure upon sitting or standing, which can be treated, or more worrisome causes such as a blood clot in...  more

For the past few weeks my eye has kept twitching and it's really bothersome. Anything I can do about it? It's worse when I wear contacts and when I'm tired. If it's really bad I'll take my contacts out, but was wondering if there's anything I can do for this?

My toddler recently had hand-foot-and-mouth disease (as we were told), but luckily the blisters faded quickly. Is this disease contagious to adults?

    • Justin Hammis
Gregory Gafni-Pappas Part of this answer depends on what medications you are already on for ulcerative colitis. Are you taking any immunomodulating medications? It also depends on your symptoms. If you are having severe abdominal pain or bloody stools and they are worsening,...  more

D5 You might try taking Turmeric. It helps inflammation. And stay away from dairy products, which cause inflammation.

My kid just stepped into poison ivy, what should I do?
    • Lois
Justin Hammis Immediately rinse your skin with lukewarm, soapy water. ...
      Wash your clothing. ...
Wash everything that may have the oil on its surface. ...
Do not scratch, as scratching can cause an infection.

Gregory Gafni-Pappas Sorry that your kid just stepped in poison ivy. The first thing I would do is wash the area profusely. The better it is washed off, the less chance there is of it spreading. The rash normally takes a day or two before appearing. Though there is no...  more
